WinRAR is a powerful archive manager. It can backup your data and reduce the size of email attachments, decompress RAR, ZIP and other files downloaded from Internet and create new archives in RAR and ZIP file format.

Right click the .rar file and a drop down menu should appear

The drop down lists a variety of ways of extracting. To make things simple clicking extract here will extract the file to where the current .rar is.

A progress menu will appear.
After extraction the file wanted will appear next to your original .rar. In this case the contents of the .rar was a mp3 file stored and compressed to save room.

How To Join Files (HJSplit)

HJplit is a self contained program. That means there is no installation required. Just Download the latest version for your OS (Windows / Mac / Linux).

To join a split file.

First start the hjsplit 2.3.exe program.
Click join and in the new window, click input file.

Open up the folder where the split video files were downloaded to. The program will only show the .001 file.
Select the file and it will now show in the file name box.
Now select open.

HJSplit will now start joining the file and you'll see a status bar.

When the joining is complete a new window will indicate completion.

Close and exit HJSplit and watch the video.

If you so desire, you can link the .001 file to automatically start up HJSplit when you left click the split file.

Right click the .001 file and select "open with"
In the drop-down menu click "choose program"
Check the "always use select program" box
Browse for the HJSplit program and select "open"

Note: Ensure that you have ALL parts of the video in the same folder and that the names (minus the split file extension; .001 .002 .003 .004 .005......) are identical. As well, ensure that the downloaded file is complete.

General Terminology

One Click File Hosting: A web service that allows the uploader to upload content from their hard drive onto the One Click File Hoster free of charge. In return a URL link is given to the uploader who then can share it to whom they want the content of the URL to be directed at.

Megaupload: A One Click File Hosting site that formed in 2005 in Hong Kong. Although it's headquarters are located in Hong Kong it's URL is banned there. Megaupload allows an uploader to upload up to 2048 MB which equivalent to 2 GB. Free Users can download files up to 1GB while Premium Users can download the whole 2 GB.

Codec: Coder Decoder is a computer program capable of encoding and or decoding digital data.

.Rar: Created and Named after Russian developer; Roshal. R.A.R = Roshal ARchive. A software that allows the user to compress files. Compressing files saves space, memory and makes it easier for distribution. Not to mention organized.

How To Use Megaupload As a Free User?

What does it mean "Link Has Expired"?
It means the download link you are requesting is not available due to lack of interest. If a download link is not downloaded in 2 years it is automatically deleted from Megaupload.

What does it mean "Temporarily Unavailable"?
It means the download link you have requested is not available at the current time but will be back up eventually. This maybe due to high traffic or a glitch on Megaupload's side. If you are patient it will be back in a hour, day, week or a month.

What does it mean "Link Has Been Removed"?
A third party has pressed Megaupload into removing these links. This maybe due to copy right issues, licensing issues, illegal content and such.
